Fill a PDF form and add a signature image
Understand the difference between fillable forms, static PDFs and signature images. Follow the steps to create a copy to check and download.
Does the document have fillable fields?
Open Fill PDF forms. Supported standard fields appear in the panel: text fields, checkboxes and lists. Enter your answers and download a copy. Read-only fields remain unchanged.
If the PDF is a scan or a page with no fields, use Edit PDF to add text where you want it. This addition does not change the original text or automatically recognize the fields.
From filling in a form to signing it
To add a signature image after filling in the form, choose the option to save it as a static PDF. Your answers are fixed on the pages and interactive fields are removed. Download this copy and open it in the Sign PDF tool.
Also keep a fillable copy if you plan to make further changes: flattening cannot be undone in this tool.
Place your signature
Draw your signature with your mouse or finger, or upload a JPG or PNG image. Choose the page, move the signature and adjust the size. Download the result and check that it does not cover other information.
okPDF adds a signature image: it does not issue a digital certificate, verify your identity or add a timestamp. If the recipient requires a certified signature, this tool does not meet that requirement.
Do not use boxes for redaction
Covering a name with a white rectangle or cropping part of a page does not delete the original content. The underlying data may still be recovered. okPDF does not offer secure redaction.
