Your documents
Use documents that you have the right to process. You retain ownership of your files: okPDF does not acquire or publish them. Selecting a file allows the program in the browser tab to read it locally.
Originals and results
Each operation creates a new copy. Keep the original and check the result before using or sharing it. Closing or reloading the tab may cause you to lose any work you have not downloaded.
Function limits
- Signatures added to the PDF are images, without a digital certificate or identity verification.
- Boxes and crops do not securely remove sensitive information.
- OCR recognition can contain errors, especially in names, numbers, tables and handwriting.
- Scan compression recreates pages as images; it may remove selectable text and links.
- Digital signatures, encryption, XFA and some advanced features are not supported. The actual limits are shown on the tool pages.
Availability
The service may be updated or temporarily suspended for maintenance. Performance and available memory depend on the device; we do not guarantee compatibility with every document. The functions described here do not provide professional advice or certification of the result.
PDFs with active actions, JavaScript, embedded attachments or multimedia content are not supported. OCR is available only for languages offered in the selector; interface and PDF writing languages may differ. Always check recognized text and results, especially numbers and important information.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site for illegal activities or to compromise the availability of the service. Do not attempt to bypass infrastructure protections.

These provisions do not exclude or limit users’ non-waivable rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law. To exercise your rights or send essential legal communications, use the operator’s contact details; for personal data matters, consult the privacy notice.
