Is the document sent to an OCR service?
No. Your browser downloads the engine and language models from our site, then processes the pages on your device. The content of the PDF is not sent online.
What languages and results are available?
12 languages are available, which can also be selected in pairs. The language of the document is independent of the language of the site. You can download plain text or a new PDF with page images and searchable text. Only selected pages are included.
Is recognition always correct?
No. Blurred images, tables, small print, and handwriting can produce errors. Check names and numbers. Processing may take a few minutes and stops after five minutes.
